KKN Gurugram Desk | The sacred city of Ayodhya Dham has turned into a spiritual festival ground on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami 2025. With the magnificent Ram Mandir standing tall in its full glory this year, the celebrations have touched a divine high never seen before.

Over 5,000 temples across Ayodhya are echoing with chants of “Jai Shri Ram”, and the atmosphere is filled with devotion, color, and culture. Devotees from across the country and abroad have gathered to witness this historic Ram Navami – the first after the grand Pran Pratishtha (consecration) of Ram Lalla.

???? Divine Ritual: Ram Lalla to Be Bathed in Golden Water

One of the most sacred highlights of the celebration is the ‘Swarn Jal Abhishek’ – the ceremonial bathing of Ram Lalla with gold-infused water. This rare and divine ritual symbolizes purity, divinity, and royal reverence.

Following the Abhishek, Ram Lalla will be dressed in Pitambar (yellow robes) woven with pure gold threads, reflecting the grandeur of Ayodhya’s deep-rooted Sanatan traditions.

???? Ram Lalla Will Wear Pran Pratishtha Ornaments

Adding to the spiritual and royal aura, Ram Lalla will also don the same jewelry that was used during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony earlier this year. These ornaments, sanctified during the consecration, carry immense religious significance and are considered spiritually powerful.

The attire and jewelry are being prepared under high security and traditional protocols, managed by the temple trust and overseen by senior priests and artisans.

???? Ayodhya Engulfed in Bhakti and Festivity

From early morning hours, Ayodhya has been bustling with lakhs of devotees. Roads leading to Ram Janmabhoomi are decorated with rangolis, saffron flags, and flower garlands. The Saryu River Ghats are lit with diyas, and every corner of the city vibrates with bhajans and kirtans.

Devotees have lined up for Ram Lalla’s darshan, and live screenings of rituals are being organized in multiple parts of the city for ease of access.

???? Massive Crowd Expected, Security Tightened

Authorities have deployed multi-layered security in and around Ram Mandir and across Ayodhya. Drone surveillance, facial recognition cameras, and thousands of police and paramilitary forces have been deployed.

Special arrangements for water, health check-ups, and emergency services have also been made to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage experience.

???? Cultural Programs, Ramayana Recitations & More

In the lead-up to Ram Navami, cultural evenings, Ramayana recitations, bhajan sandhyas, and Ramleela performances have taken place across Ayodhya.

Folk artists from across the country have been invited to participate in this spiritual extravaganza. The main stage at Ram Katha Park has hosted several high-profile devotional events, drawing thousands every evening.

This year’s Ram Navami holds historical significance. It is the first Ram Navami after the inauguration of the grand Ram Mandir in January 2024, making it a landmark celebration for devotees worldwide.

The symbolic Surya Tilak (sunlight offering) is also scheduled, where at noon sharp, the sun’s rays will directly fall on Ram Lalla’s forehead using a special optical setup — a marvel of science and faith.
