This marks the fifth major SSC recruitment of June, following a busy month already filled with high-profile government job openings. The CHSL 2025 recruitment will oSSC CHSLpen applications for thousands of posts including Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operator (DEO) across various ministries and government departments.

This SSC CHSL recruitment is one of the most popular opportunities for 12th-pass candidates across India looking to secure government jobs under central ministries.
For Data Entry Operator (DEO), Grade A (Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ministry, Ministry of Culture): 12th pass with Science stream.
For LDC / JSA and other DEO roles: 12th pass in any stream.
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 27 years
(Upper age relaxation applicable as per government rules.)
SSC CHSL selection is conducted in two main stages:
Tier-I: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Objective type, multiple-choice questions
Subjects: General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness
Tier-II: CBT (Descriptive + Skill Test)
Section 1: Descriptive paper (Essay/Letter writing)
Section 2: Skill Test / Typing Test (as per post requirement)
For SSC CHSL 2024, a total of 34,55,669 candidates applied, competing for 3,437 vacancies. Given the rising interest and the push for central government jobs, this year’s CHSL recruitment is expected to draw even higher participation.

Posts: Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)
The much-awaited SSC Delhi Police & CAPF Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment 2025 has been postponed due to administrative reasons. The notification was originally scheduled for June 16, 2025.
New dates will be announced soon after consultation with concerned departments.
Over 7.34 lakh candidates had applied for the exam last year.
