The recruitment drive aims to fill 541 Probationary Officer (PO) posts across various categories. The online application process for these positions began on June 24, 2025, and will remain open until July 14, 2025. SBI PO 2025 Vacancy Details

The total number of vacancies available for the SBI PO 2025 is 541, with the following category-wise distribution:

  • General Category: 203 vacancies

  • OBC: 135 vacancies

  • EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): 50 vacancies

  • SC (Scheduled Caste): 37 vacancies

  • ST (Scheduled Tribe): 75 vacancies

Additionally, 500 regular vacancies and 41 backlog vacancies are part of this recruitment process.

Eligibility Criteria for SBI PO Vacancy 2025

To be eligible for the SBI PO 2025 recruitment, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

    • Candidates who are in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they can produce proof of their graduation before the interview stage.

  2. Age Limit:

    • The age of the candidates should be between 21 years and 30 years as of April 1, 2025. This means candidates must have been born between April 2, 1995, and April 1, 2004.

    • Relaxation in the age limit is available for candidates belonging to reserved categories:

      • SC/ST candidates: 5 years of relaxation.

      • OBC candidates: 3 years of relaxation.

Selection Process for SBI PO 2025

The SBI PO 2025 recruitment involves a three-phase selection process, which includes:

  1. Preliminary Examination:

    • The preliminary exam will be conducted online, and candidates need to clear it to move forward to the next round. The exam will be conducted in July-August 2025.

    • Candidates who clear the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the Main Examination.

  2. Main Examination:

    • The Main Examination will also be conducted online, tentatively in September 2025. Candidates who pass the preliminary exam will receive their admit cards for the main exam.

    • The results for the Main Examination will be declared in September-October 2025.

  3. Psychometric Test and Interview/Group Exercise:

    • Candidates who qualify the Main Examination will be called for the Psychometric Test and the Interview/Group Exercise in October-November 2025.

    • The final results will be declared in November-December 2025.

Salary and Perks for SBI PO 2025

The SBI PO position offers an attractive salary package. The basic pay for this role is ₹48,480 (with 4 advance increments). The pay scale for the position is as follows:

  • Scale: ₹48,480 – ₹2,000/7 – ₹62,480 – ₹2,340/2 – ₹67,160 – ₹2,680/7 – ₹85,920

  • Along with the basic salary, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other allowances are provided.

  • SC, ST, and PWD candidates: No fee

SBI provides pre-examination training for candidates from SC, ST, OBC, and PWD categories. The details regarding the pre-examination training will be made available to eligible candidates.
