KKN Gurugram Desk | As Bihar moves closer to the 2025 Assembly elections, political activities are gaining momentum. While the opposition claims that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will not retain power, his allies are confident of his victory. Union Minister Chirag Paswan, known for his unwavering support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has now declared full backing for Nitish Kumar. On the CM’s birthday, Chirag assured that the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) (LJP-RV) will contest the elections with all its strength to bring Nitish Kumar back to power.

Chirag Paswan Confident of NDA’s Victory in Bihar

During his statement, Chirag Paswan firmly stated that after the 2025 election results, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form the government in Bihar. He reiterated that his party will fight under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, ensuring his return as Chief Minister for the 10th consecutive term.

This remark has added a new twist to the political landscape in Bihar, especially considering past tensions between Chirag Paswan and Nitish Kumar during the 2020 Assembly elections.

Chirag Paswan Responds to Tejashwi Yadav’s Allegations

The political discourse took another turn when opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to weaken Janata Dal (United) (JDU). Responding to these allegations, Chirag Paswan dismissed them as baseless. He advised Tejashwi Yadav to discuss such concerns directly with Nitish Kumar rather than making unnecessary political statements.

Additionally, when questioned about Nishant Kumar, the son of Nitish Kumar, entering politics, Chirag Paswan clarified that the decision solely lies with Nishant. He emphasized that if Nishant chooses to enter politics, the LJP-RV will welcome him.

LJP-RV Aligns with Ashok Choudhary’s Statement on RJD’s Internal Rift

Meanwhile, Arun Bharti, an LJP-RV MP, echoed the views of Bihar’s Building Construction Minister Ashok Choudhary. He suggested that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is facing internal conflicts, with a lack of coordination among its leaders. According to him, the NDA remains strong and organized, and as a result, the RJD might struggle to win more than 20 seats in the upcoming elections.

Reaffirming support for Nitish KumarArun Bharti also declared that he would continue as the Chief Minister after the 2025 elections.

How Chirag Paswan Impacted Nitish Kumar’s 2020 Election Performance

The upcoming elections hold significant political weight, considering the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, where Chirag Paswan’s decision to contest separately had a major impact on Nitish Kumar’s JDU. Despite being an ally in the central government, the LJP went solo in the state elections. This led to a direct setback for JDU, which was reduced to 43 seats.

However, this time, Chirag Paswan has made his stance clear. His party, LJP-RV, will contest under the NDA banner to ensure a decisive victory for Nitish Kumar.

Bihar Elections 2025: A Crucial Political Battle

With just a few months left for the Bihar Assembly elections, the political atmosphere is heating up. The NDA, led by the BJP, JDU, and LJP-RV, is strategizing to strengthen its position. Meanwhile, the RJD, under Tejashwi Yadav, is making claims about BJP’s alleged attempts to weaken JDU.

At the center of this political storm stands Nitish Kumar, who has served as Bihar’s Chief Minister since 2005. His long political journey and leadership will be put to the test again in 2025.

Will Chirag Paswan’s Support Strengthen NDA’s Position?

Chirag Paswan’s declaration of unwavering support for Nitish Kumar is a significant political move. While LJP-RV played a crucial role in the 2020 elections, it had adversely affected JDU’s performance. However, by aligning with Nitish Kumar this time, Chirag Paswan aims to consolidate NDA’s position.

Political analysts believe that LJP-RV’s decision will impact seat-sharing talks within NDA. The key question remains: Will this alliance be enough to counter RJD’s influence in Bihar?

The 2025 Bihar Assembly elections are shaping up to be one of the most closely watched political battles. With the NDA camp united under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, and the RJD preparing to challenge them, the electoral contest is set to be intense.

As the election date approaches, Bihar’s political scenario will continue to evolve. All eyes will be on Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan, and Tejashwi Yadav as they prepare for the decisive electoral battle.

This election will not just determine Bihar’s leadership but also set the course for its political future.
