On Friday, July 18, 2025, the weather in Delhi and NCR suddenly changed, bringing some relief from the summer heat. Light rain showers were reported in several areas, including Noida, providing some respite to residents. The Meteorological Department forecasted moderate to light rainfall for the day, with the possibility of clouds throughout the day and the formation of thunderclouds. According to the forecast, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 34°C, while the minimum temperature will hover around 25°C.

Weather Change Across Delhi and NCR

On Friday, as per reports, the weather in Delhi and NCR underwent a significant shift. Various areas, including Noida, witnessed light rain showers, which were much appreciated by the residents. This sudden weather change provided some relief from the ongoing heatwave in the region. The showers were relatively light, but they were enough to cool down the environment and bring a refreshing change to the atmosphere.

Rain Impact on Traffic in NCR

Earlier, on Thursday, rain had already impacted traffic across the NCR. Due to the sudden downpour, vehicles moved slowly on the streets, causing traffic congestion in several areas. The rains, although sporadic, contributed to making road conditions slippery and delayed commutes for many. The persistent rainfall during the day kept the traffic at a slower pace, and commuters faced delays reaching their destinations. However, despite the inconvenience caused, the rain was a welcome break from the intense heat of the previous days.

Forecast for Friday, July 18, 2025

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that light to moderate rainfall will continue on Friday. The skies will remain overcast for most of the day, and there is a possibility of thunderclouds forming. The IMD has also warned of lightning, indicating that thunderstorms might occur in some areas of Delhi and NCR.

The maximum temperature is likely to reach around 34°C, with the minimum temperature expected to settle at 25°C. These temperatures are relatively moderate compared to the scorching heat experienced earlier in the week. The presence of clouds throughout the day will provide some relief from the sun, making the weather more pleasant for the residents.

Thursday’s Weather: A Mix of Sun and Clouds

On Thursday, the weather had a mix of sunshine and clouds. During the day, the sun made occasional appearances, but clouds kept fluctuating, offering brief moments of shade. As evening approached, rain showers started to fall in some areas, adding to the day’s fluctuating weather conditions. The light rain was welcomed by many, but it did cause some inconvenience to commuters as they tried to navigate through the wet roads.

Future Weather Outlook for Delhi and NCR

Looking ahead, the IMD has indicated that the weather pattern will remain somewhat unpredictable. The possibility of light to moderate rainfall may continue for the next few days. The chances of thunderstorms and lightning remain high, especially in the late afternoon and evening hours. However, it is expected that the temperatures will remain within a comfortable range, offering much-needed relief to residents of Delhi and NCR.

The sudden weather change on Friday brought some much-needed relief to the people of Delhi and NCR. The light rain showers helped cool the environment, making it more comfortable. The forecast suggests that the weather will continue to be variable, with more rain expected throughout the day. Though the rain caused some traffic disruptions, it was ultimately a welcome break from the intense heat that had gripped the region earlier.
