KKN Gurugram Desk | The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC CGL 2025 notification, opening doors for thousands of government job aspirants across India. This year, the commission is conducting recruitment for 14,852 posts under the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025.

Candidates can now apply online through the official SSC website — ssc.gov.in — with the last date to submit the application being July 4, 2025.

The SSC CGL examination is one of the most competitive government exams in India and offers a wide range of Group B and Group C positions in ministries, departments, and organizations under the Government of India.

This year, the SSC has announced 14,852 vacancies across various departments including:

  • Central Secretariat Service

  • Indian Audit & Accounts Department

  • Ministry of Railways

  • CBDT & CBIC

  • Ministry of External Affairs

  • CAG, and more

The final number of vacancies is subject to change based on administrative decisions and departmental requirements.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL 2025

Educational Qualifications:

  • Junior Statistical Officer (JSO):
    Bachelor’s degree with Statistics as one of the subjects. Candidate must also have at least 60% marks in Mathematics in Class 12.

  • Statistical Investigator Grade-II:
    Graduation in any discipline with Statistics as one of the main subjects.

  • Other Posts:
    Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Candidates awaiting final year results can also apply, provided they submit proof of qualification before the final document verification.

SSC CGL 2025 Exam Pattern

The SSC CGL 2025 exam is divided into two major stages:

  • Tier 1 (Qualifying)

  • Tier 2 (Scoring for merit)

Tier 1: Computer-Based Exam (CBT)

  • Duration: 60 minutes

  • Total Questions: 100

  • Total Marks: 200

  • Subjects:

    • General Intelligence & Reasoning

    • Quantitative Aptitude

    • English Comprehension

    • General Awareness

  • Each correct answer: +2 marks

  • Negative marking: -0.50 marks for each wrong answer

Tier-1 is qualifying in nature and scores are not counted in final merit.

Tier 2: Multi-Paper Examination

  • Paper 1 is compulsory for all candidates.

  • Paper 2 & 3 are conducted for candidates applying for specific posts like JSO and Statistical Investigator.

  • Each paper includes advanced-level questions in Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, and Statistics (for relevant posts).
