KKN Gurugram Desk | The medical admission season has officially begun following the NEET UG 2025 result declaration on June 14, 2025. Based on NEET scores, candidates can now apply for admission into UG medical and dental programs across India—spanning 780 colleges with a combined 1,118,190 MBBS seats, plus 27,868 BDS seats, 1,205 AIIMS, and 200 JIPMER seats.
After the release of NEET UG 2025 results on the next critical step is the counselling and seat allotment phase. Conducted by the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) under the DGHS for the 15% All-India Quota (AIQ), and by individual state authorities for state quota seats, the counselling process will unfold over multiple rounds:
Round 1 – AIQ & Deemed/Central Univ. seats
Round 2 – State quota seat allocation
Mop-Up Round – To fill vacant seats
Stray Vacancy Round – To finalize leftover seats
Candidates must register, pay counselling fees, fill college preferences, and verify documents as per the MCC/state guidelines. Expect admission to medical programmes to begin in July or August 2025 .
