“Yoga is not merely about physical fitness; it is a means to awaken the spiritual power of the soul,” he said. “This tradition has been preserved through our Vedas, Puranas, and Shastras. To fulfill one’s dreams and live a purposeful life, it is essential to stay healthy — both physically and mentally — and yoga plays a critical role in achieving that.”
CM Yogi further urged every citizen to make yoga a part of daily life, reinforcing that a healthy body and a peaceful mind are essential foundations for a progressive society.
Yoga Day in Lucknow: Deputy CM Participates with Citizens
In the capital city Lucknow, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak participated in public yoga events, engaging in mass yoga exercises alongside hundreds of residents. The session witnessed overwhelming enthusiasm from youth, women, senior citizens, and professionals.
Deputy CM Pathak echoed the CM’s sentiments, stating, “Yoga brings inner peace and discipline. Let this not be a one-day celebration. Let’s make wellness a habit.”
Sangam Prayagraj Hosts Grand Yoga Event on Riverbank
One of the most iconic celebrations in Uttar Pradesh unfolded at the Sangam Nose in Prayagraj, where thousands gathered at the sacred river confluence for a mesmerizing morning yoga session. The chief guests included UP Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ and BJP MP Praveen Patel from Phulpur.
The ceremony began with a traditional lamp-lighting ritual, following which both leaders led the audience in yoga practice.
More than 8,000 participants, including government officials, employees from various departments, and local citizens, joined hands to celebrate yoga’s transformative impact. The event beautifully reflected the Yoga Day 2025 theme, “One Earth, One Health”, reinforcing unity in body, mind, and environmental consciousness.
Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Administers Yoga Pledge

In Shahjahanpur, Union Minister of State Jitin Prasada participated in the district-level yoga program at GF College Sports Ground. Addressing the crowd, he hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary role in taking yoga to the international stage.
“From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and beyond, yoga is no longer confined to India. It has become a global wellness movement. Credit goes to our PM, who got yoga globally recognized through the United Nations,” said Prasada.
Ambedkar Park, Gomti Nagar Witnesses Massive BJP-Led Yoga Session
The Scheduled Caste Wing of BJP Uttar Pradesh organized a large-scale yoga session at Ambedkar Park in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. Notable BJP leaders including Neeraj Singh, MLC Mukesh Sharma, and Organizational Secretary Dharmpal Singh were present and actively participated in yoga routines with party workers and the general public.
The event was not only a show of strength but also highlighted the party’s commitment to promoting health and wellness among all social groups.
Urban Development Department Creates Over 100 Yoga Parks
Under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, the Urban Development Department of Uttar Pradesh has developed over 100 yoga parks across the state. These parks are equipped with all necessary facilities for yoga and related wellness activities.
