A 40-year-old male resident of Ludhiana succumbed to the virus on Wednesday at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH-32) in Sector 32. The patient was admitted to the emergency department four days ago after experiencing severe breathing difficulties.

Upon admission, doctors immediately conducted a COVID-19 test due to the severity of his symptoms. The report came back positive on Tuesday. Despite intensive treatment efforts, the patient’s condition deteriorated rapidly, and he passed away the very next day.
