KKN Gurugram Desk | Television and film actress Hina Khan, currently undergoing treatment for stage 3 breast cancer, recently sought solace and inner peace at the Art of Living Ashram in Bengaluru. Accompanied by her boyfriend, Rocky Jaiswal, Hina joined a group of notable personalities, including actor Vikrant Massey, his wife Sheetal Thakur, and Dr. Madhu Chopra, mother of actress Priyanka Chopra, for a weekend retreat led by spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
In a series of Instagram posts, Hina Khan shared glimpses of her spiritual journey at the ashram. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meditate, activate her inner peace, and connect with like-minded individuals. Hina wrote,
“We all had different reasons to be there, we all had different callings. But once we got together, it was like a big family. We learned how to meditate, we learned how to activate our inner peace and power, we also unlearned the old ways and undid the old shackles. We enjoyed with each other, grew with each other and became friends with each other.”
Her posts also featured moments with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, capturing the essence of the retreat and the tranquility it offered.
Actor Vikrant Massey, preparing for his role as Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in the upcoming film White, visited the ashram with his wife, Sheetal Thakur, and their son, Vardaan. Sheetal shared several photos from their visit, including interactions with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, moments with elephants, and serene landscapes. She described the experience as a “homecoming,” emphasizing the peace and stillness they found during their stay.
Amidst her spiritual retreat, Hina Khan also provided an update on her health. She shared that her chemotherapy and surgery were completed, and she is now undergoing immunotherapy. In an interview, she mentioned,
“My chemos and surgery are also over. I am on another treatment right now. I am taking my immunotherapy. Everything is going fine.”
This update reassured her fans and highlighted her resilience in the face of adversity.
Spiritual retreats, like the one Hina Khan attended, offer individuals a chance to disconnect from the stresses of daily life and reconnect with their inner selves. Such retreats often include practices like meditation, yoga, and mindfulness, which have been shown to reduce stress, improve emotional well-being, and enhance physical health. For cancer patients, these retreats can provide a supportive environment to heal both mentally and physically.
Hina Khan’s visit to the Art of Living Ashram underscores the importance of seeking inner peace and support during challenging times. Her journey serves as an inspiration to many, demonstrating that with resilience, faith, and the right support, one can navigate the toughest of battles. As she continues her treatment, Hina remains a beacon of strength and hope for her fans and fellow cancer warriors.
