NEET UG 2025 Counselling Registration Opens Tomorrow

The NEET UG 2025 counselling process starts soon. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will open registrations. This is for admission to various medical courses. Students can apply for MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. Nursing, and AYUSH programs. Eligible candidates must visit the official website, mcc.nic.in. The registration window opens tomorrow, July 21.

The MCC will release crucial details shortly. This includes the complete seat matrix for 2025. Information on participating institutions will also be available. All relevant data will be on the portal. Candidates should check these updates regularly. This ensures a smooth counselling experience.

High Competition for Medical Seats

Over 12 lakh candidates qualified for NEET UG 2025. They are competing for approximately 1.8 lakh seats. This makes the competition very intense. Only about 1 in 10 will secure an MBBS seat. This highlights the importance of strategic counselling.

MBBS Seats Available in India

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India has 1,18,190 MBBS seats. This data was released in April 2025. In the 2024-25 academic year, 1,15,250 MBBS seats were filled. These were allocated through NEET UG counselling.

Key Documents for NEET UG Counselling 2025

Candidates need specific documents for counselling. These are vital for verification. Keep all original and photocopies ready.

Required Documents List:

  • NEET Admit Card from NTA.
  • NEET Seat Allotment Letter from MCC.
  • Date of Birth Certificate (if not on Matric Certificate).
  • NEET Result/Rank Letter from NTA.
  • Class X Certificate and Marksheet.
  • Class XII Certificate.
  • Eight Passport Size Photographs (same as application form).
  • Identity Proof (Aadhar/PAN/Passport/Driving License).

NEET UG 2025 Registration Procedure

The registration process is straightforward. Visit mcc.nic.in to begin.

Steps to Register:

  1. Access the official MCC website.
  2. Click on the relevant registration link.
  3. If new, complete the initial registration.
  4. Provide essential details for registration.
  5. Enter your chosen stream (Medical or Dental).
  6. Input your NEET UG roll number.
  7. Add your NEET application number.
  8. Provide your candidate’s name.
  9. Enter your date of birth.
  10. Use the security pin displayed.

Filling the NEET UG Application Form

After successful registration, fill the application form. This step requires careful attention.

Application Form Details:

  • Provide your mother’s name.
  • Enter your father’s name.
  • Specify your complete address.
  • Review all entered details carefully.
  • Once submitted, modifications are not possible.
  • Ensure information matches your original documents.
  • This is crucial for the final admission process.

NEET UG Counselling Fee Structure

Candidates must pay fees during application submission. This includes a non-refundable registration fee. There is also a refundable tuition/security deposit. Payments are accepted online. Credit card, debit card, and net banking options are available.

Fee Details:

For 15% All India Quota (AIQ) under Central Universities:

  • General and EWS categories: Rs 1,000.
  • SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates: Rs 500.

Refundable Security Deposit:

  • General and EWS candidates: Rs 10,000.
  • Other category candidates: Rs 5,000.

For Deemed Universities:

  • Registration fee: Rs 5,000.
  • Refundable security deposit: Rs 2 lakh.

How to Confirm NEET UG Registration

Upon completing the application form, a registration slip will appear.

Confirmation Steps:

  1. Print out this registration slip.
  2. Keep it safe for future reference.
  3. Proceed to the choice-filling round.
  4. Fill in your college preferences.
  5. You can revise choices before locking them.
  6. Lock your choices once finalized.

Seat Allotment and Admission Process

After each counselling round, results are published. These results include seat allocation details. An allocation letter will also be generated.

Allocation Letter Information:

  • Candidate’s name.
  • Roll number.
  • Category.
  • Assigned college.
  • Quota under which seat is allotted.
  • Course offered.
  • Carry all required original documents.
  • Report to the allotted college.
  • This is for the final admission process.
  • Timely reporting is crucial for securing your seat.
