HSSC CET: Exam Center Changed for Some Candidates, New Admit Cards Required

Published by

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has made a significant change just before the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for certain candidates. Some candidates’ exam centers have been shifted, and they will need to download their new admit cards before appearing for the examination. The affected candidates are from Kurukshetra district, particularly those with exam center code 23028. These candidates will now have to appear for their exam at a new center.

Previously, the exam was scheduled to take place at Mata Vaishno Devi Vidya Mandir, Thanesar, District Kurukshetra (Block B). Now, the new exam center is Government Senior Secondary School, Bhivani Khera, Kurukshetra, which is just 500 meters away from the original center. This last-minute change means that candidates affected by this move must download their new admit cards. Only those with the updated admit cards will be allowed to enter the exam center.

Important Roll Numbers for the New Admit Card

Candidates with the following roll numbers are required to download the new admit cards:

  • 5123028001 to 5123028258

  • 5223028001 to 5223028258

  • 5323028001 to 5323028258

  • 5423028001 to 5423028258

HSSC CET 2025: Key Details for the Exam

The Common Eligibility Test (CET) for 2025 will be conducted on 26th and 27th July 2025. The test will take place across 1,338 centers throughout the state, with four shifts planned for each day. The test will be administered in two sessions each day. The first session will be from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM, and the second session will be from 3:15 PM to 5:00 PM. The commission has made arrangements for 9,045 buses (including both roadways and private) to transport candidates to and from the exam centers.

Candidates are required to arrive at the exam center one hour before the start of the exam to ensure timely entry and completion of the check-in process.

Important Guidelines for Candidates

  1. Admit Card Requirement: Candidates must carry the color printed copy of the admit card. Entry will not be allowed with a black and white admit card. Ensure that the new admit card contains a colored photograph and is self-attested.

  2. ID Proof: Along with the admit card, candidates must carry an original ID proof. Valid options include Aadhaar card, driving license, voter ID, or passport.

  3. Clock in Exam Halls: Each exam hall will have a clock. Candidates are not allowed to wear watches. Ensure that no personal watches are brought inside.

  4. Stationery Restrictions: Do not carry any personal stationery, including pens or pencils. The commission will provide a pen inside the exam center.

  5. Dress Code: There is no specific dress code, but candidates are advised not to wear metallic items like jewelry or clothes with metal embellishments. If wearing traditional or religious attire that might require additional screening, candidates should arrive half an hour early to facilitate proper inspection.

  6. Ban on Electronic Devices: Mobile phones, earphones, hand watches, rings, chains, nose pins, and bangles are prohibited. Candidates are advised not to bring any electronic devices or valuable items to the exam center.

  7. Special Exemptions for Sikhs and Women: Sikh candidates wearing the Amritdhari symbol and women wearing mangalsutras will be allowed to bring these items. However, they are expected to arrive at the exam center half an hour before the reporting time for thorough inspection.

  8. Check Your Test Booklet: Before starting the exam, ensure that all pages of your question booklet are printed correctly and that the test booklet code and OMR sheet serial number match. Perform this check within five minutes of the exam beginning.

  9. Do Not Leave Before Completing the Exam: Candidates are not allowed to leave the exam center before the paper ends. After finishing the exam, candidates must submit their commission copy and OMR sheet to the invigilator. Only the candidate’s copy should be taken.

  10. Verify Your Exam Center: Before the exam day, make sure to verify and check the exact location of your exam center.

Exam Logistics and Preparations

The HSSC CET 2025 is a critical examination for many candidates in Haryana, as it provides eligibility for various government positions. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission has taken extensive steps to ensure that the examination process runs smoothly. With thousands of candidates appearing for the exam, the commission has arranged large-scale transportation and adequate examination facilities.

Although changes to exam centers just before the exam can be unsettling for candidates, the commission is committed to making sure that all arrangements are in place. The newly assigned centers are just 500 meters away from the original locations, ensuring minimal disruption for the candidates affected by the change.

In addition to transportation arrangements, candidates must follow all HSSC CET guidelines strictly to avoid any issues at the exam center. This includes bringing the correct admit card, ID proof, and ensuring that no prohibited items are brought into the exam halls.

The HSSC CET 2025 is an important exam for aspirants seeking employment in Haryana.
