The CSIR NET June 2025 examination is scheduled to be held on July 28, 2025. The test will be conducted in two shifts across various centers in India.
First Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Subjects: Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Ocean Sciences, Planetary Sciences
Second Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Subjects: Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences
This division ensures subject-specific slot allocation and smooth conduct across the country.
The exam will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. It will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions.
The paper is divided into three sections for each subject. There will be no break between parts. Candidates must attempt all sections in one go.

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
Lectureship/Assistant Professorship in science-related subjects
The exam covers Life, Physical, Chemical, Mathematical, Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences. It is held twice a year, and the June 2025 session is the current cycle.
