CSIR NET 2024 December session result will be released soon, know how to check result

KKN Gurugram Desk |The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) is anticipated to announce the results for the CSIR NET December 2024 session shortly on its official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates who participated in this examination will soon be able to access their scorecards by logging in with their application number and date of birth.

CSIR NET December 2024 Examination Overview

The CSIR NET December 2024 was conducted from February 28 to March 2, , across 326 centers in 164 cities, accommodating approximately 2,38,451 candidates. This -level examination determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professorship in Indian universities and colleges.

Steps to Download CSIR NET December 2024 Result

Once the results are declared, candidates can follow these steps to access their scorecards:

  1. Visit the official CSIR NET website: csirnet.nta.ac.in.

  2. Click on the link titled ‘ December 2024 Result’.

  3. your application number and date of birth in the respective fields.

  4. Submit the details to view your result.

  5. Download and print the scorecard for future reference.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

To qualify for the CSIR NET, candidates must achieve the following minimum marks:

  • General, EWS, and OBC categories: 33%

  • SC, ST, and PwD categories: 25%

Expected Cut-Off Marks

While the official cut-off marks will be released alongside the results, previous trends provide an estimate of the expected cut-offs for various subjects:

  • Chemical Science: UR – 59.00%, EWS – 51.50%, OBC – 51.00%, SC – 39.25%, ST – 30.50%

  • Earth Science: UR – 62.63%, EWS – 56.97%, OBC – 56.61%, SC – 46.31%, ST – 44.61%

  • Life Science: UR – 99.21%, EWS – 97.18%, OBC – 97.18%, SC – 92.24%, ST – 85.42%

  • Mathematical Science: UR – 54.88%, EWS – 47.63%, OBC – 47.13%, SC – 36.00%, ST – 29.63%

  • Physical Science: UR – 43.94%, EWS – 36.69%, OBC – 36.75%, SC – 30.38%, ST – 26.94%

Final Answer Key Release

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is also expected to release the final answer key for the December 2024 session soon. This key will provide candidates with the correct answers to all questions and will be instrumental in calculating their expected scores. The final answer key will be accessible on the official website:

Post-Result Procedures

After the declaration of results, qualified candidates will be eligible to receive the CSIR NET e-certificate. This certificate can be downloaded from the official website by following these steps:

  1. Visit csirnet.nta.ac.in.

  2. Click on the ‘Download e-Certificate’ link.

  3. Enter your roll number/application number and date of birth.

  4. Select the exam session.

  5. Download and save the e-certificate for future use.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official CSIR NET website for updates regarding the result and final answer key releases. Staying informed will ensure timely access to scorecards and subsequent procedures.
