KKN Gurugram Desk | In a recent press conference, Bihar’s Leader of Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, launched a scathing attack on Union Minister Chirag Paswan and State Health Minister Mangal Pandey, accusing them of prioritizing personal ambitions over public welfare and highlighting alleged corruption within the state’s healthcare system.
Allegations Against Chirag Paswan
Tejashwi Yadav labeled Chirag Paswan as “power-hungry,” criticizing him for remaining in the government while publicly expressing dissent through letters. He suggested that if Paswan truly had issues with the administration, he should resign rather than seeking to maintain his ministerial position while voicing opposition.
Critique of Health Minister Mangal Pandey
Yadav also targeted Health Minister Mangal Pandey, accusing him of neglecting Bihar’s healthcare system. He alleged that Pandey’s focus on political activities outside the state, particularly in West Bengal, has led to a deterioration of health services in Bihar.
Concerns Over Healthcare Corruption
Highlighting issues within the state’s healthcare system, Tejashwi pointed to the recent dismissal of a doctor at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) as a superficial action meant to shield higher officials. He claimed that the doctor had previously been dismissed for absenteeism during his tenure as health minister but was reappointed after the change in government.
Implications for Bihar’s Political Landscape
These criticisms come amid growing concerns over governance and public service delivery in Bihar. Yadav’s statements reflect the ongoing political tensions and the challenges facing the state’s administration.
