Bihar Weather Update (Bihar Ka Mausam) – 19th July 2025: Rainfall Chances and Rising Humidity

Bihar’s weather has been causing considerable discomfort for residents due to the rising humidity. After a brief spell of rainfall in several parts of the state, the monsoon showers have weakened, and the situation has once again turned hot and humid. The heat has been intensified by westerly winds, while the rising water levels in rivers have also led to an increased risk of flooding. With these conditions, let’s take a look at the weather forecast for today in Bihar.

Weather Conditions in Bihar on 19th July 2025

The weather in Bihar continues to show fluctuations. While Friday witnessed light rainfall in some areas, most parts of the state experienced a spike in temperature due to clear skies and strong westerly winds. The combination of scorching sunlight and humid conditions has caused discomfort for many residents.

Current Weather Situation

As of Saturday, the weather conditions remain similar to those of Friday. Patna, along with other districts in the state, is experiencing dry conditions. According to meteorological predictions, the maximum temperature is expected to remain between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius across most regions. The day will be dominated by sunny skies and warm temperatures, but light rainfall may occur in select districts such as Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Purnia, Bhagalpur, and Jamui.

Forecast for the Coming Days

Significant changes in the weather are expected starting Sunday, 20th July. The return of easterly winds is likely to bring heavy rainfall across several districts, providing some relief from the scorching heat. Meteorologists predict increased cloud cover and higher rainfall intensity. This shift in weather is expected to bring down the temperatures and alleviate the oppressive humidity that has been prevalent throughout the week.

Flood Threat and Rising Water Levels

The heavy rainfall in recent days has led to a dramatic rise in the water levels of rivers across Bihar. In areas such as Patna, Gaya, Jehanabad, and Saharsa, the situation is now approaching a near flood-like condition. The Ganges River’s water level is nearing the danger mark, raising concerns for residents in flood-prone regions. According to the Central Water Commission, the water levels may continue to rise over the next 24 to 48 hours, escalating the threat of flooding in low-lying areas.

Precautionary Measures and Safety Alerts

In light of the rising water levels and potential flood risks, the local administration has begun preparing for emergency relief operations in the affected regions. Authorities have urged residents, particularly those in coastal areas, to remain alert and follow safety guidelines. Experts have advised individuals in vulnerable areas to relocate to safer places and stay updated on weather warnings.

As the weather conditions in Bihar remain unpredictable, residents need to stay informed and prepared for changes, particularly regarding possible floods and rainfall. The weather department’s forecast predicts some relief over the weekend, but caution remains crucial, especially with the increasing flood risk.
