In a disturbing turn of events, the Aurangabad have arrested a 4-time-married woman, allegedly murdered her husband with the help of her lover and then staged it as a suicide. This chilling revelation marks the second spousal homicide in Aurangabad district within a week.

 The Incident: Staged Suicide Revealed

The incident occurred in Madanpur, a hamlet within and under the Aurangabad district police’s jurisdiction. The victim was discovered hanging from the roof of their home, apparently dead by suicide. However, a prompt investigation led to fresh evidence pointing to murder.

Preliminary investigation suggests the husband was strangled before being suspended from the roof to simulate a suicide. Investigators found inconsistencies in the scene, eventually leading to the arrest of the wife.

According to police, the accused woman, accompanied by her lover and an uncle, orchestrated the murder to divert attention from their illicit relationship.

Second Wife Murders Husband in One Week

Only days earlier, another horrific surfaced in Aurangabad where a wife conspired with her lover to run over her husband with an SUV. In that case, police confirmed the accused had lured her spouse to a secluded spot under the guise of a medical visit, before deliberately killing him .

The recent pattern of wife-partner homicides in the district highlights a troubling rise in domestic crimes rooted in extramarital affairs and financial motives.

Arrested With Lover and Accomplice on the Run

The arrested wife admitted to family members that she had plotted the murder with her lover and his uncle; law enforcement have issued warrants for their arrest and launched an intensive manhunt .

Police stress that they are treating this as a premeditated homicide, not an accidental , and are pursuing all involved parties vigorously.

 Investigation and Evidence Collection

Local police quickly cordoned off the murder site for evidence retrieval:

  • Forensic teams collected vital clues such as ligature marks, fiber samples, and fingerprints on the roof beams.

  • Autopsy reports confirmed the cause of death as strangulation.

  • Mobile data and call records revealed frequent communication between the wife, lover, and uncle leading up to the crime.

  • Witness testimonies pointed to suspicious activity earlier in the evening before the husband’s body was discovered.

Motive & Background: Illicit Affair and Financial Gain

According to police reports, the wife and her lover had an ongoing extramarital relationship. Financial motives may also be involved, though details are still emerging.

Aurangabad’s District SP, Kumar Rishiraj, commented, “This appears to be a calculated attempt to remove the husband, which involved unhealthy relationships and possible monetary interests.”

Police Response: Manhunt and Security Heightened

Following the arrest:

  • An immediate manhunt for the fugitive lover and uncle was launched.

  • Booth-level officers and special squads were deployed.

  • Local checkpoints were strengthened to prevent escape and facilitate arrests.

 Community Shock and Safety Concerns

Residents of Madanpur and greater Aurangabad were shaken by the news. Many expressed concern over the rising cases of relationship-based violence.

One villager shared anonymously, “It’s frightening. You couldn’t suspect something could be so chillingly premeditated in our peaceful area.”

Rising Trend: Spousal Murder Spree in Central Bihar

Aurangabad has experienced a surge in spousal homicide cases tied to adulterous relationships and conspiracies. Experts attribute rising domestic violence and family breakdown as possible causes.

Bihar’s Home Ministry is reportedly reviewing these incidents, with plans for stricter monitoring mechanisms and awareness programs.

 Legal Action & Next Steps

The arrested woman faces charges under:

  • Section 302 IPC (Murder)

  • Sections pertaining to conspiracy and abetment

Charges against the absconding lover and uncle are being added once apprehended. The case will proceed to trial, with the wife likely to be remanded in judicial custody.

 Broader Legal Perspective and Awareness

Aurangabad’s alarming pattern of escalating spousal violence has prompted legal experts and women’s rights groups to demand urgent judicial and administrative reforms.

Key recommendations include:

  • Launching awareness campaigns targeting marital discord and extramarital relationships.

  • Promoting accessible family counseling and domestic violence helplines in rural areas.

  • Ensuring quicker police action and forensic investigations in suspected unnatural deaths.

This sensational case—a wife joining her lover to murder her husband and stage the scene as a suicide—exposes deep-rooted challenges in family relationships, trust, and law enforcement vigilance.

With two such cases cropping up in Aurangabad in one week, there’s an urgent need for preventive action, community , and law enforcement that can detect indicators of marital crimes early.
