PM Modi Slams RJD and Congress in Bihar: Calls Them Anti-Development and Anti-Investment Forces

Published on

KKN Gurugram Desk | Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his address in Bihar’s Siwan district, launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress, labeling them as forces that have historically opposed Bihar’s development and economic growth. He accused both parties of being anti-Bihar and anti-investment, and claimed that their version of “development” meant closed businesses, locked shops, and paralyzed industries.

Modi’s Vision for a Prosperous Bihar

Addressing a massive public rally, PM Modi highlighted the transformation that Bihar has undergone under the leadership of his government. He said, “When RJD and Congress talk about development, people see locks on shops and factories. That’s why they could never earn a place in the hearts of Bihar’s youth.”

He further added that the current NDA government is focused on creating opportunities, building infrastructure, and empowering the poor—a clear contrast to previous regimes.

Massive Push for Housing for the Poor

One of the major highlights of Modi’s speech was the PM Awas Yojana, a flagship housing initiative for the economically weaker sections. According to Modi:

  • Over 4 crore pucca houses have been constructed in the last 10 years.

  • These homes are not just structures, but symbols of dignity and security for poor families.

  • An additional 3 crore homes are planned for the near future.

On this very day, Modi announced the release of the first installment of housing funds to 50,000 families in Bihar, calling it a proud moment as most of these homes are registered under women’s names, empowering women with ownership rights.

Empowering Women and Strengthening Infrastructure

PM Modi emphasized that under the PM Awas Yojana, it’s not just about constructing houses—basic utilities like electricity, water, and sanitation are being ensured for every household.

He lauded this step as an initiative that strengthens the foundation of social security and gender equality. “When the house is in the name of the woman, it boosts her confidence and her voice in the family and community,” Modi added.

Poverty Eradication: A Decade of Results

Quoting World Bank reports, the Prime Minister proudly stated that over 25 crore Indians have moved out of poverty in the last decade, and Bihar has played a major role in this achievement.

He credited Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s efforts, alongside central government policies, for creating a synergized development model that is finally showing results in the poorest corners of the country.

Modi said, “We didn’t just make promises. We worked day and night to serve the poor. And the results are in front of you.”

‘Beware of Those Who Want to Derail Bihar’s Progress’

Urging citizens to be alert, PM Modi warned against political forces trying to “derail Bihar’s journey to prosperity.”

He accused the RJD-Congress alliance of pushing Bihar into lawlessness and economic decay during their tenure, branding their era as “jungle raj.” Modi alleged that their politics was centered around exploiting Bihar’s resources, not developing them.

He stated, “Those who once turned Bihar into a land of migration and despair are now trying to reclaim power through deceit and manipulation.”

Symbolism of ‘Panja’ and ‘Lalten’: What PM Modi Meant

Taking a symbolic dig, PM Modi said, “The hand (Congress’s symbol) and lantern (RJD’s symbol) once gripped Bihar so tightly that it became a land of mass migration. Talented and hardworking Biharis were forced to leave their homeland for basic survival.”

He described Biharis as resilient and self-respecting, saying, “Despite hardships, Bihari brothers and sisters never gave up. But those regimes wounded Bihar’s pride again and again.”

A Political Shift Ahead of 2025 Elections

With 2025 Assembly Elections approaching, Modi’s speech was seen as strategic and assertive, targeting traditional opposition narratives and emphasizing NDA’s welfare-driven governance model.

His appeal to voters included a mix of emotional connect, data-backed achievements, and a clear political warning against returning to older regimes that, as per him, stood for corruption and chaos.

Key Highlights from PM Modi’s Siwan Address

  • RJD-Congress accused of ruining Bihar’s growth.

  • 25 crore Indians lifted out of poverty in 10 years.

  • 50,000 Bihar families receive PM Awas Yojana installment today.

  • Empowerment of women through property ownership.

  • PM Awas Yojana to build 3 crore more homes nationwide.

  • Warning to voters: Reject ‘jungle raj’ forces.

  • Credit given to CM Nitish Kumar for development synergy.

Prime Minister Modi’s address in Siwan was a blend of governance report card and electoral war cry. It was aimed at reminding the people of Bihar of their past under RJD and Congress rule while offering a future based on empowerment, infrastructure, and inclusivity.

As Bihar prepares for another crucial electoral battle, the contrast between “lantern politics” and “LED-powered governance” becomes the key narrative driving the political discourse.
