Employment Generation: Creation of Over 4,800 Posts

The Cabinet sanctioned the creation of approximately 4,858 new positions across various departments, signaling a robust push towards employment generation. Key approvals include:

  • Public Health Engineering Department: 22 Assistant Branch Officer positions.

  • Bihar Livelihood Promotion Society: 653 contractual roles to support livelihood initiatives.

  • Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation: 818 positions to enhance educational infrastructure.

These appointments aim to address unemployment and improve service delivery in critical sectors.

These projects are expected to significantly improve public health and sanitation in the respective areas.

Educational Advancements: Establishment of Minority Residential Schools

To promote inclusive education, the Cabinet approved the construction of minority residential schools:

  • Buxar: A 560-capacity school with an investment of ₹53.37 crore.

  • Rohtas: A similar 560-capacity institution with a budget of ₹56.13 crore.

These schools aim to provide quality education to minority communities, fostering social equity.

Urban Development: Expansion of Municipal Boundaries

In a move to enhance urban governance, the Cabinet approved the inclusion of Danapur, Khagaul, and Phulwari Sharif into the municipal framework. This expansion is anticipated to bring improved civic amenities and infrastructure to these areas.

Social Welfare Initiatives: Enhanced Support for Children

The Cabinet decided to provide two sets of uniforms to children aged 3 to 6 years attending Anganwadi centers through the Jeevika program. Additionally, the annual uniform allowance has been increased by 5%, aiming to encourage higher enrollment and attendance in early childhood education programs.

Administrative Actions: Dismissal of Minority Welfare Officer

In a disciplinary measure, the Cabinet approved the dismissal of Jatashankar Pandey, the District Minority Welfare Officer of Jamui, from service. The decision underscores the government’s commitment to accountability and integrity within its administrative ranks.

The approvals from the June 3 Cabinet meeting reflect the Bihar government’s strategic focus on employment, infrastructure development, education, and social welfare. These initiatives are poised to have a substantial impact on the state’s socio-economic landscape, aiming to improve the quality of life for its citizens.
